Privacy Policy
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how the Phone Dialer & Contacts mobile application (the "App") handles information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
2. Information the App accesses
To function as a phone and contacts app, the App reads certain information from your device. This information is used only on your device, solely to provide the features you see, and stays on your device:
| Information | Why it is used |
|---|---|
| Contacts | To display, search, dial, create, edit and organize your contacts. Contacts are read from and saved to your device's own contact storage. |
| Call log / call history | To show your recent calls with type, time, duration and SIM, and to let you call back or delete entries. |
| Phone & call state | To place, receive, answer and end calls, show caller ID, and display the in-call screen. |
| SIM / phone number info | To label which SIM a call used on dual-SIM devices. |
3. How the App handles your information
The App operates entirely on your device. It reads the information listed above solely to display and manage your calls and contacts, and keeps that information on your device. It works as an on-device utility, so your personal information stays with you.
4. How your information is used and stored
All processing happens locally on your device. Contacts and call-log data are read directly from the Android system providers and displayed within the App. Any changes you make (such as creating a contact or deleting a call) are written back to your device's own storage. A small amount of preference data (for example, your theme choice or speed-dial assignments) is stored locally on your device and is excluded from cloud backups where possible.
5. Information sharing
Your information stays on your device and is kept private to the App. If you choose an action that opens another app — for example tapping a website link, a map address, or a message option — Android hands that action to the app you select. That other app's use of information is governed by its own privacy policy.
6. Permissions
Android asks for your consent before the App can access sensitive information. You control each permission and can change your choices at any time in your device Settings → Apps → Phone Dialer & Contacts → Permissions. Phone features rely on these permissions to work as expected.
7. Security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your device's own security (lock screen, encryption and Android's app sandbox). We recommend keeping your device software up to date and secured with a screen lock.
8. Children's privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility intended for a general audience. Because it operates entirely on your device, any information it reads stays on the device for everyone who uses it, including younger users.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
